GRP Safety have just completed the installation of their GRP RiserGrid system on a project in Southend. The project whilst only a 4 day project was quite complicated due to some of the services within the riser already been in situ.
The versatility of the GRP system mean that GRP supports and grating could be positioned to suit the existing services without the need for them to be removed to allow for full access.
The GRP materials were installed by the GRP Safety Riser Team where GRP Angles and I Beams were installed in 4 service risers over 2 floors. GRP Grating was then installed on top of the GRP support beams and secured in place.
Whilst some of the services were already in place, the supports were positioned so that when further services had the GRP grating cut to allow them to be run, the flooring was still structurally sound. 38mm thick grating was used with an anti slip top surface in a grey colour.
