GRP RiserGrid System Installed At Northumberland College
RiserGrid System Installed at Northumberland College
| In late September, GRP Safety installed our RiserGrid System Grating at Northumberland College. Our signature’ Steel Plank Brackets’ were used to enable us to complete the works. As with a lot of modern construction projects that use a ‘plank’ substrate system which can mean that the perimeter of the riser opening is not a flat 90 degree substrate that a standard GRP angle of GRP I beam (with bracket)support can be fixed to. Because of this, GRP Safety developed their unique ‘plank bracket’ system. This means that it doesn’t matter what the condition is of the vertical section of the substrate, the plank bracket sits on top and is fixed down into the top of the plank. GRP I Beams and angles can be connected into the plank bracket to create the GRP support frame to ensure that the GRP flooring is structurally sound before and after service cut outs. In addition, as the plank bracket is only 2mm thick, any wall tracking or similar can form over the top to ensure walls can be installed to the edge of the riser opening and assuming a screed finish, this also goes over the top of the bracket. |
| Works were completed in approx. 5 days so enable other works to come in after us and work safely. For more information please get in touch 01487 829200. |
